ABOUT THE FOUNDER
A
While attending UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, Alison Brock McGill completed an independent study on the intersectionality of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and marketing communications. Specifically, she sought to understand how Fortune 500 firms cultivate successful partnerships with NGOs. She examined trends in corporate philanthropy and employee engagement and she uncovered three truths about each partnership: there was a clear strategy, there were natural synergies, and the partnership engaged its members socially. Using these pillars, Alison founded The Brock Method to facilitate cross-sector connections and ultimately catalyze change.
Upon graduating, Alison accepted a role at Interpublic Group's Mediabrands division as the Director, Social Impact Strategy. In this role, she piloted a company-wide initiative that drove business results while creating social returns, and started the company's first CSR employee council and pro-bono volunteer program.
Today, The Brock Method empowers nonprofits and social enterprises to achieve growth and development goals through strategic, synergistic, socially-minded plans and campaigns.
